this with is great power lasts 2 to 3 weeks, this is my second one
Ive had my watch for about 4 weeks now and am happy to report it has fully lived up to the reviews and expectations. The watch came about 25% charged out of the box and ready to go, I did fight the temptation to start wearing it right away and charged it to 100%. Installed the iPhone app while waiting, I will say it was a tad confusing when asking for the login code but I think that was me not realizing it had taken the code sent thru text and was actually waiting for login credentials. After that the watch connected without issue and has remained connected. I am using it with an iPhone XR for reference.
Battery life is good, I havent made it to 10 days, 7 days seems more like it but since this is my first fitness tracker I think I tend to check it more frequently than normal. Ive run it down to around 10% charge, connected it to the charger and been back to 100% in a couple of hours. Main take-away here is that I dont have to worry with charging it every single night.
I received the watch on Thursday, so I had time to test it and compare them with others that I have with a high price and a well-known brand and another one in the middle range on the weekend.
I looked like crazy on the street with two watches, one in each hand.
The measurements were almost identical in all three, with one of them I could not compare the quality of sleep.
With the Soundpeats it was very precise and I also tested them walking for an hour, the differences were a few steps and calories, all three very similar.
I also discovered that several brands have similar bands and are interchangeable is an advantage, although the one that this one uses is very comfortable.
The screen is very bright in daylight and easy to change the functions although I would recommend that the manual be more explanatory although it is fun to experiment with the functions and although the software is complete it can be improved with a quick update.Forgot easy to charge .
The heart function is very fast and sensitive, I am really very happy with the watch and I am still testing and comparing it, if I have anything new I will make an update. Tip, it is really worth to buy it and not only for the price but for how it works.
For what unpaid for this watch I am happy. I tested it with my Android 6.0 phone using Bluetooth 5.0
Specs:
It is bigger (longer) than the apple iwatch. Thickness is about the same. The case seems to be aluminum but Im not 100% sure, it could be hard plastic as well. It is lighter than the 2nd gen apple Iwatch.
The strap is rubber, nothing bad to say about it.
Battery life seems to be very good, would probably get a good 3 or 4 days before the next recharge.
Notification:
With the soundpeats app running I can get notifications from SMS app, Facebook messenger, Google Voice and incoming calls. Did not test other apps.
Health monitoring:
Im not using for health monitoring so can't say much about it other than everything seems to work, heart beat, steps, distance, etc.
Misc:
It can start music playing and also at/phase although I usually do this using my earbuds.
It has weather monitoring as well.
Improvements:
Need to be able to get to SMS, and app notifications quickly, the ability to read messages in the watch would also be a plus.
Conclusion:
At this price it is an excellent alternative to the high priced Iwatch especially if you use Android phones.
I have been using SoundPEATS fitness watch now for nearly a week and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. For a 30 smart Watch I was bit sceptical at first, but more I use it I am really pleased with its performance. Its packed with lots of features that expensive smart Watch have.
To get the watch working you need to turn it on and the watch face will show a QR code (this is also available in instructions manual) which needs to be scanned with your mobile phone to download and the install the SOUNDPEATS SPORTS APP. Registration was bit tricky I have to play around a few times to figure it out, but once registered it was easy to figure out.
It supports 12 sports modes, but the APP only display 4 sports modes at a time so if you need to pick other sports modes you need to customise this in the app. Any recording of sports activities have to be initiated on the APP, it doesnt auto recognise.
It accurately records your steps, distance walked, calories burned and heart rate. I wore both SOUNDPEATS smart watch and my FITBIT at the same time while running outdoors and the reading for the above are more or less the same.
You also get incoming call and text alerts, on the APP you can customise which other alerts you want to receive like WhatsApp, Viber and other social media apps. You can only disconnect an incoming call.
You can get incoming calls, text messages, and social media notifications, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and more on your wrist. You can also read them diredctly on the watch
This watch records your sleep activity, it breaks down your sleep activity to deep and light sleep as the awake duration. On the APP you can view these details in-depth. You can also set silent vibrating alarms to wake you up.
There are quite a few Handy tools in this watch, such as to setup to vibrate if inactive for more than a hour. Also on the watch there is a find your phone option which will locate your phone, making the phone vibrate or ring which comes in handy when you cant where you left your phone.
Watch face can be changed by sliding down and going to watch settings, there only 5 watch faces currently.
Also by sliding the watch sideways you can view weather, heart rate, steps heart rate, distance, calories burned and sleep stats.
Comes with a cable to charge and it take around 2 hours for a full charge. I fully charged it and its been a week where I been wearing it for most of the days and there is still 30% remaining battery.
It claim to be IP68 waterproof but I havent tested this yet will update if I do.
The watch belt is comfortable to wear and feels like its made out of good strong material.
Overall this a value for money great smart Watch, which dose most of the things that an expensive brand watches do at a fraction of cost. I would highly recommend this to anyone whos looking for a budget smart Watch.
